Lesa Floyd, Women’s Minister

Lesa serves as the Minister to Women and Ministry Development. She has been a member of Mobberly since 1987 and has served as the Women’s Ministry Leader here since 1998. Nationally, she has served as a Ministry Multiplier for LifeWay Church Resources in the area of Women’s Ministry since 2000 and currently leads and speaks at Women’s Ministry leadership conferences in churches around the US. Prior to her call to fulltime ministry in 1998, Lesa worked in the medical field as an RN for 18 years in the areas of adult and pediatric critical care and cardiac nursing.She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. in May of 1981 and an Advanced Certificate in Women Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in December of 1999.
Lesa has two adult children, Lindsay and Taylor and a grandchild to be born soon.

Carol Giles, Women’s Ministry Assistant

Carol is a native of East Texas, born and raised in Nacogdoches, Tx. She has been blessed to serve as the Women’s Ministry Assistant since November 2006.  Prior to this position she and her husband Jim of 31 years, were self employed for over 20 years.  Together they have four children and six grandchildren.   Family is a vital part of her life along with enjoying gardening, cooking & scrapbooking.

Cindy Carr, Women’s Ministry Team Leader

Cindy was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. She graduated from Carroll High School and attended Howard Payne University for two years. She received her Mrs. Degree and moved into motherhood. She is married to Rick Carr and has two children, Clinton and Tamara, and a grandchild, Kate, from son Clinton. Cindy was instrumental in starting the Mother’s Day Out Program in San Antonio in 1982 and directed one in Garland, TX in 1989. Over the years at Mobberly she has facilitated and led studies for women. She has faithfully served in many positions concerning women and felt called to serve as the Women’s Ministry team leader.

Glenda Graham, Prayer Team Leader

Glenda Graham serves as the Women’s Ministry Prayer Team. She was born in Pontotoc, MS., and grew up in Shreveport LA. She graduated from Fair Park High School and attended LSUS. She is married to Steve Graham and has two daughters, Julie and Heather. She has been a member of Mobberly for sixteen years. She has always had a passion for prayer. It has grown even stronger now that she has a family, and a ministry to serve in. I know that I have a God to call on any time that can do “exceeding abundantly above all I could ask or imagine.” (Ephesians 3:20) I trust in the power of His infallible Word that it will not return void but will go forth and accomplish His every purpose. (Isaiah 55:11) I will not give up up when things look bleak. I will “keep on praying until the answer comes” (Luke 18:1) “His mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:23). Glenda serves and prayerfully supports the Women’s Ministries within Mobberly, Women’s Ministry Team, Deacon & Staff Wives Prayer Group, Comfort & Care Prayer Shawl Ministry, Friday Prayer Room Intercessors, and Prayer Princesses. Glenda is the Moms In Touch International Area Coordinator for Region 9 of Northeastern Texas. She is the MITI leader for East Texas Christian School and Mobberly’s church based group.

Cindy Wilkerson, Women in Crisis Team Leader

Cindy is Women’s Ministry Team Leader for Women in Crisis. She has served on the team in various roles since 2000. She has been a life-long resident of Longview. She graduated from Hallsville High School and holds Bachelor of Business Administration and Account degree from University of Texas at Tyler. She has been providing public accounting services for the East Texas area over twenty five years. Cindy is married to Larry Wilkerson. They have two adult children, Jared and Erika and one grandson, Mickey. Her blended family also includes three grown step-children and four additional grandchildren. Together, Cindy and Larry minister to the inmates at Gregg County Jail. Cindy also travels with the Bill Glass Prison Ministry. In her free time, She enjoys relaxing at Lake Cherokee and introducing women in crisis to a new way of life.

 Sharon Gathright, Wellness Team Leader

 Sharon serves as the Team Leader for Wellness.  Prior to accepting this role, she was involved in Instructional Technology and teaching English at Spring Hill ISD for 35 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Education from Stephen F. Austin State University with post graduate work at Baylor University and University of Colorado.  A resident of Baytown, Texas until marrying her husband Johnny, she has been an alto in Praisesingers since 1984, participated in several bible studies, and served as an Intercessor in the Prayerroom since its beginning.  They have two adult children, Lindsey and Casey, and two grandchildren, Lola and Griffin. A life-long exerciser, she believes one’s prayer time and bible study should be as regularly exercised as one’s body.
